Policies

Giving You the Best Experience

At SB Mobile Nail Spa, we bring the salon to you, with our mobile salon services and stellar spa treatments. Because traveling to and from locations is a major investment for our company, we need to know you’ll still want our services when we arrive. 


Check out our booking policies and no-show policies below to learn more about booking our mobile salon services.

Service Hours

Service hours are Monday - Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
Appointments booked outside our normal hours incur an additional after-hours $50 fee.
Services provided during holidays will have a $75 surcharge on top of the service booked.
We try to accommodate last minute appointments, but it is not always possible.

Payment

A credit card is required to reserve and secure your appointment. Charges will be applied to the credit card on file after completion of services, unless otherwise noted.                 

For groups/ event/parties,  a 50% deposit is required to reserve and secure the date (which will go towards the final total ) and a signed service agreement.

     

Appointments are confirmed only once a credit card and/or deposit is received.

Minimum Service Charge

All in-home services are subject to a minimum service charge of $125, even if the chosen services total less.
Travel fees, if added, is not part of the minimum service charge.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made prior to 48 hours before your appointment start time to avoid a 50% charge. Appointments booked the same day and are canceled or rescheduled will be charged 100% of the services.Any service change(s) with less than 48 hours’ notice of appointment start time, will still be charged in full for all services booked if that equals less than original booking. Groups and events will need to cancel 5 days ahead of your appointment time to avoid losing your deposit.

No Shows/Running Behind

If the technician cannot reach the client, or the client is not at the specified location and/or cannot be serviced for any reason, or health conditions were not disclosed at the time of booking, we reserve the right to:


-Shorten the services 

-Refuse service due to undisclosed conditions

-Cancel the appointment after the 15-minute grace period

**And be charged  the full amount of the services booked for these reasons.**


Please be mindful of the nail technician(s)time. We allot enough time for service and travel time and they may have other client's scheduled after the appointment, so it's important that they be able to start on time. Otherwise the services may have to be shortened and/or cancelled and client will be charged 100% of service.

There is a 15-minute grace period after this we might not be able to provide the service, if you’re going to be late, please let us know as early as possible and we will try to make work with the client. 


If for any reason the nail tech is running late, we will notify you as soon as possible and your service will not be affected. 

Parking Fees

Client is responsible for any fees incurred while providing your services, including but not limited to: parking, valet, tolls. 

These fees are added to your service total.  

 Please be mindful of parking and notify us of any situations/issues we might come into  due to all equipment we have to carry. 

Travel Fees

All traveling fees for our in-home mobile services are included in the service price if you’re located within service radius of Santa Barbara.                                                Traveling fees will be determined upon making the appointment if you’re outside our usual service area.Travel fees, if added, are not part of the minimum service charge.

Gratuity

Gratuities are not included in the service charge, but are optional and always appreciated.
If you choose to add gratuities, we can add it to your final total when we charge for services.

Refusal of Services

SB Mobile Nail Spa reserves the right to refuse services if they determine there are any contraindications, medical conditions that were not disclosed at time of reservation or if the client acts inappropriate
This would include conditions such as open wounds, fungus, infectious diseases, excessively thickened toenails. If we arrive and are unable to provide service for any of these reasons, we reserve the right to refuse service and client will still be charged for services.

How The Services/Appointments Work

Our nail techs bring everything needed to perform the service.  We bring towels, tools, bowls, stools, mats, manicure table, and a variety of polish/gels to choose from. We use disposable single-use nail files, buffers, and pedicure bowl liners that are discarded after each client. We also disinfect all metal implements in hospital grade disinfectant and an auto clave. The only things we ask from the client to provide is seating, outlets, and access to water for the pedicures.

Why prices are higher than a traditional nail salon?

The reason the prices are higher than in a normal  brick & mortar nail salon setting is not only for the quality of  services itself, but for the convenience and for total time involved.  The idea of the mobile service is to be convenient for the client, so the manicurist must in-turn take the burden of the inconvenience to make that possible. This is all translated through the cost of the service. By comparison though, you will find that our prices are very comparable to other mobile nail services, if not lower.

Technicians Experience

We are experienced in servicing and accommodating clients with any health conditions or special needs. 
We provided services to clients from children to seniors: with diabetes, ingrown toenails, bed/home bound, mobility issues, to chronic to terminal illness, etc. We ensure that the client with receive the service needed and be comfortable, relaxed, and feel pampered.

Covid-19 Precautions

All of our technicians are practicing safe protocols to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. 
We are following all our standard safe protocols plus more based on the guidelines set by the state and federal guidelines. Masks and gloves are worn at all times. 
In the event the technician or the client develop symptoms, the appointment will be rescheduled for another date without penalty.
Our business has always taken extra safety and health precautions prior to Covid.
Our standard procedures: we always use new files and  buffers. Anything that is disposable, we do not reuse. All our metal implements are cleaned, sanitized, disinfected, and auto-claved. The pedicure tub and manicure table are wiped down with our disinfection wipes before every service. We are certified in all our services, products and cleaning product we use.  We always use gloves for all services.
Additional new procedures due to Covid related safety measures, on top of what we already do, is our nail techs always wear masks to protect our clients and well as having the client wear one as well. For mobile services, we are limited on what safety measurements we can do because we are coming into your space/home/office, but we do everything on our end we possibly can to have a clean and sterile service
